_{Level-up time! Almost. Same kiddo as [link] but... with a mustache because he's growing older. They don't look the same because I have no consistency when drawing almost lol.

Possibly turning into a douche while he's got that douchestache. Who knows.

Nothing's really changed as far as info goes. Can't wait to update his numbers tho. Wearing those long sleeve cover things under his officer jacket because he wants to hide some scarring and prevent his own hair from being singed off when using fire spells. Though I'd imagine if he's fighting the shirt'd be zipped up like in the proper uniform refs by

Edrik comes from a family of scholars in Ragnelia - while he has very little physical skills to speak of [str=1, as in, enough to lift Ilmolok and use it without struggling], he has a solid foundation for fire elemental spells and a very sharp mind. Even when involved in fights, he is much more interested in seeking out his enemies' weakness than directly engaging them in a fight himself.

History:
Edrik is the eldest in a very close-knit family in Ragnelia. His father, a historian and part-time cartographer, has long studied the geography of the world and believes that the myths of the Light and Dark are not just stories. Edrik, however, is much more skeptical, despite having focused much of his studies and research under the guidance of a fire adept in magic. Two years ago his father had the opportunity to go on an expedition to seek the truth, but chose to forgo the opportunity for his family. He, nevertheless, continues to debate the topic with Edrik.

After his teacher departed to participate in the conflict between the Erius Knights and the Quasers, Edrik had to seriously consider his own future. Was he to stay in Ragnelia with his family and live a scholarly life, or take part in the next great moment of history? His ambitious drove him to choose the latter, even though it meant leaving his family behind. After looking into the two factions, he chose to join the Quasers - though some of their actions may have been somewhat reckless, he sincerely believed in their vision of a free and equal world. Edrik believed that knowledge was for all, and rather disliked the structure of the EKs. Worst of all, he perceived that the EKs used dragons as tools and severely disliked the idea. Given that his younger sisters were also born without magic, he thought that choosing the Quasers would help them (somehow, irrationally) as well.

Extra info:
- He comes from a family of 5 - he has two younger sisters named Serah (15) and Arya (12). Arya gave him the red ribbon that he wears around his left bicep in his braid. Serah, on the other hand, gave him the light scar on his cheek.
- Hobbies include cartography, crafting, cooking, reading, chess
- Only wears the uniform when necessary. Still prefers the lighter clothing from Ragnelia (or just wearing nothing at all)
- He doesn't know how to swim, and is actually quite terrified of water if he doesn't know how deep it is. He knows it is irrational to refuse to learn how to swim, but hasn't talked himself around to doing it yet...
- He is always hungry, so he is constantly snacking. Edrik is almost never seen without some kind of food on him.
- Hair is dark purple and it's slightly longer on the left side. Eyes are green.

Skill: Serpentarius
His gun fires a fireball that splits apart as it travels towards its target. As the partitions are formed, it looks like a snake separating itself from its skin with all parts retaining an identical form. More effective over long distances.

In other words, hopefully it'll keep people away from him so he doesn't get his butt whooped when they get up close.

Skill: Eclipse
Defensive skill. Fireballs appears in a ring around Edrik and circles about him protectively. They react defensively and actively engage only when approached aggressively. Spell lasts for 10 minutes and has a 30% chance of transferring flames to their target.

Right now Edrik can only manage 2-3 fireballs at a time, but as time progressives, he should be able to conjure more.

Special: Devil's Candle
Offensive and defensive skill.
To activate Devil's Candle, Edrik needs to remove an energy pack from his blaster and coat it his blood. The energy pack is then lit, which causes it to explode outwards to form a bubble of dark red flames (2.5 meter diameter) that is capable of absorbing most magical attacks and reflecting them back at the attacker with no damage to those inside. Water attacks are nullified. Physical damage cannot be blocked but it is difficult for attackers to approach as the flames themselves will still burn quite hotly.

The natural duration for the Devil's Candle is between 5-10 minutes, depending on the amount of fuel in the energy pack and the attacks that it has to deal with. As the flames are fueled by blood, that 5-10 min period can be extended by providing blood that is continuously fed to the flames. The blood feeding the flames does not have to belong to Edrik so long as the source of it is from inside of the bubble.

Given the nature of the spell and the requirement for continued blood sacrifice, Edrik is more than likely to pass out from blood loss if he doesn't stop it early on his own. Subsequently, the toll on his body would require for him to rest in bed as much as possible (even if he had just used the spell for 5 minutes) and eat a lot of steak (to replenish his iron) as well as build up his blood supply again.

Offense is the best defense really seems to be his thing.}
